Another problem faced by many students is test performance . You study a lot, you know everything, you practice a lot, but still get less marks. Some factors which affect test performance are speed, accuracy, knowledge, paper attempting strategy, composure, and concentration. For speed you should try to solve exercises at home in limited time like tests. Knowledge develops over time as you study and practice more. Accuracy can be improved by quickly rechecking the answers by p lugging in values, reading options and questions twice, carefulness while solving, etc. Paper attempting strategy is also very important. For me it was like this after some experimentation. I attempted all easy and memory based questions in chemistry first, then I went to mathematics and solved a few very easy formula based questions, then I went to physics and solved easy and conventional questions.  Then I attempted chemistry almost fully except the very tough and unknown questions...

Many students don't have access to coaching and do self studies. This article is for them. You might think that you are lagging behind coaching students but you are not. What counts the most is your effort, dedication, and confidence. You even have the freedom to study at your own pace and can have a good study schedule. According to me a good plan is this: First study in your school. Pay attention well. Then come home and solve school homework. Now you know some basics. Time to take it to JEE level . Use some standard books like HC Verma, Solomons edited version, JD Lee edited version, Arihant skills in mathematics to study topics at JEE level. This article is about those students who could not study much in 11th and are now serious in class twelfth. . You still have 12 months and you need not worry. You can still do wonders.  Just have confidence. First of all never revise 11th at the cost of 12th . It would only worsen the problem. you should do all your class 12 study with complete satisfaction and then take out some time daily around 1-2 hours to revise 11th. You may also utilise Sundays and holidays for this. If you have an upcoming chapter which requires use of some 11th concept ( like Electro-chemistry requires ionic equilibrium ) then revise it first to understand the 12th topic nicely. Then you should revise those topics which are basic and important like NLM, SHM,Rotation, Mole concept,GOC, Quadratic equations, Straight lines, Trigonometry, etc. which are to be used in 12th topics as well.
