Advice From IIT JEE 2017 Topper : Books

Advice From IIT JEE 2017 Topper : Books

Many people have been asking me about the books Toppers followed for JEE preparation. So here's the list

I would say that the best option is to join a national level coaching centre and solve their material. If you want more practice go for HC Verma, Irodov (only for those who are very good at physics), Arihant skills in mathematics series, NCERT (must), etc.

Those who are doing self study you too should try to join some test series and Distance Learning Program as it really helps.

To them, I would recommend reading NCERT, HC Verma, and Arihant skills in Maths first. Then solve their questions and your Distance Learning Program material. If you still have time, go for previous JEE papers, Irodov.

The books I followed are-

Physics-

HCV, NCERT, Reso material, Irodov, Resnick Halliday Krane, Olympiad papers, Krotov, Some portions from Griffiths and Morin

Mathematics-

Reso material, previous JEE papers, A Das Gupta subjective, Arihant skills in Mathematics

Chemistry-

NCERT, Resonance material, some portions from Paula Bruice, Solomons, JD Lee, Bruce Mahan, Vogel, Peter Sykes, Olympiad papers and previous papers of JEE.

The books in beginning are more important and relevant. Later ones are just for knowledge and interest.
I hope it helps.

All the best!
